“ If youre wondering downtown Portland, and are hungry, and looking for good food, dont hesitate to stop by Balaji Indian Cuisine. Excellent food, great service, and cooked right there. Freshly made in front of you. ”
“ Balaji Indian has become one of my favorite food carts in downtown Portland. This would be a good food cart choice if you want to split dishes with others. Ive gotten the Kadai Chicken twice, its very good. Last time I also got the Lamb Biryani, which complemented the Kadai Chicken well. Make sure you get extra garlic naan bread, its super good and you cant have too much. The gentleman working the cart is very friendly and seems to take a lot of pride in his cuisine. Definitely a good one to check out when youre downtown. ”
“ THE best Indian food cart in Portland! Recently changed ownership and really enjoyed chatting with the new owner, hes a good guy so support him!! Delicious chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. Really good serving size for the price, it will be 2 meals for me. LOVE the side salad it came with. Got between medium and hot spice level and it was perfect for me. Will be back again ”
“ I wish I took more photos of this place but its a very unsuspecting place yellow cart in the food cart hub near the end of the block. I passed by it once and it was open for lunch and I came back another day during dinner to give it a try. This place has some delicious butter chicken. The man made it fresh and boy did it smell good. He asked for spice level and medium was great. The chicken was juicy and curry so smooth and buttery. Good amount of curry to rice. I actually put some on a breakfast burrito I got elsewhere and it really enhanced the experience. Reasonably priced around 13. Decent amount of food. Not too much chatting from the guy. Hot and fresh with a fat stack of napkins to help me hold it on the way home and clean up after. Would come back again. ”
“ They have a lot of dishes and good prices. Binary was really nice. The food is amazing! It tastes really fresh and warm. I totally recommend this place! ”
“ We ordered Chana Masala today and it was absolutely fantastic! Highly recommended this place especially if you havent tried Indian cuisine before. This food is some of the best Indian Ive had! ”
“ The best Indian food around! We love the Paneer Koorma, chicken vindaloo, the aloo Gobi , the samsosa, and Naan. This is everything we have tried so far, its all fantastic ”
“ Today was my first time trying out some Indian cuisine and I went with the chicken korma. Service was exceptional as was the food. They asked me how spicy do I want it, I said just a tiny bit, and they delivered perfectly. All the flavors were blended together well. The rice was soft and had flavor, good portion size for the price. Only thing that would have made this meal any better would have been the cashews. He didnt have them today. They have vegan and non vegan options and many different dishes to choose from. Now I have a second favorite food truck to visit on my lunch breaks. ”
